Dr. Izen is a native English speaker with over twelve years teaching experience from elementary to college levels. A former Plano ISD teacher, college level teacher trainer, and ESL instructor, Dr. Izen holds State of Texas certification for Elementary Education, Special Education, and Administration (Principal). She is a former college professor and the mother of two children who were in Plano ISD honors classes before enrolling in the Texas Academy of Math and Science (TAMS).
